Halloween Tips for Parents and Children

Fall celebrations like Halloween and Harvest Day are fun times for children, who can dress up in costumes, enjoy parties, and eat yummy treats. These celebrations also provide a chance to give out healthy snacks, get physical activity, and focus on safety.

2. Celebrated On October 31 ● Halloween is a fun celebration day for kids and adults, here is a list of tips I came with up with to have a safe and Happy Halloween
3. Accompanied By Adults ● Children of any age should be accompanied by an Adult
4. Plan Your Trick Or Treat Route ● Plan ahead of time with your child of where you would go for trick or treat ● Stick to areas that you and your child know in order to avoid being separated or lost
5. Wear Comfortable Footwear ● Wear comfortable footwear since you and your child would probably be walking a lot, avoid shoe laces, and high heels
6. Wear Short Costumes ● Make sure the length of the costume is not too long, or else it may be dragging on the ground and a child may trip and fall.
7. Carry Flashlight, Well Lit Clothing ● Carry a flashlight and wear well lit clothing, such that vehicles passing by are able to notice you and your kids ● Only visit homes that have a porch light on
8. Skip The Masks ● Avoid mask, children may get hot in mask and will most likely make it hard for them to breath, simple makeup can go long ways
9. Don’t Go Into Strangers House ● Accept treats at the door and never enter into strangers house
10. Check Your Candy ● Make sure an adult inspects all candy before eating it. Do not eat candy that is already opened
11. Provide Healthy Alternative ● Give away apples, activity books, crayons or play dough, rather than candy to children
